Bad thoughts I tell ya, bad thoughts.

I thought I would join in the confessional this week.

Yup I have something to confess to you y'all

I came accross the meme a couple weeks ago but never thought of anything to say however this week I have something.

So come on over and join just click on the beautiful button made by Chief for Glamazon

All beatified isn't it??

So on to the important crap stuff.

  • This last week on pick up and drop off of the girls to their mom she proceeded to talk my ear off with tons of bullsh$%!!
  • She has done this before but it always ends bad for me.
  • Every time she plays nice with me it ends up with me drinking coffee laughing with the CPS guy in my house.
  • Yup she turns me in for trumped up charges, that have no proof, that I get to amuse the CPS fella with how they aren't possible.
  • So as I'm sitting there last night I tried everything to get her to shut up.
  • I didn't ask questions, I started the car, I even had it in park, she still wouldn't stop.
  • So I eventually drove away saying its late I have to go while she was still rambling.
  • In my head I'm thinking...
  • How can I remove her tongue, how can I...
  • Yes I had some very bad thoughts about there mom.
  • I have them alot. (I WOULD NEVER ACT ON THEM)
  • I yelled at the hubby for not making/telling her we HAVE to go.
  • I yelled at him for making me sit through that twice in one week.
  • I tend to yell at my hubby alot for him being to quiet.
  • I get frustrated easily anymore.
  • I think it's my anxiety/depression.
  • I don't take meds for it even though I should.
  • I hate how it makes me feel like a zombie and no feelings, not even able to cry when I take them.
  • Besides they really only give ya drugs for feeling suicidal...
  • Not for having thoughts of homicide do they?? (LOL I haven't had that bad of thoughts but if I'm drinking coffe with the CPS fella next week I can't promise I won't dream it)

So there ya have it.

Oh and if you here from

The Here and Now!

So the past two days I’ve given you the shorthand version of how we have gotten to where we are. You can see the Beginning of QueenB and Toughie and the Locating and Agreements posts if you want to catch up. I’m writing this all out as I’ve said partly with frustrations but possibly with the hope of maybe finding someone else dealing with the same issues.

This post will have a different feel to it than the last two. I left off with what our present agreement is. It’s been a long road of almost 4 years now of searching, kissing her and the courts butt, a TON of money, many many miles, to get where we are. I’m not asking for sympathy I just want to voice my feelings and opinions on what we have been going through. It’s been a journey and I wouldn’t trade any minute of it.
IMG_0508
So as it stands now she has once again drug us to court. A few months ago claiming I was of course abusing the girls. CPS came to my house and turned it upside down and questioned me. They even questioned Hubby at the station while he was working!! I was furious yet amused with the stories she came up with this time. One was that I constantly lock the girls in “our” bedroom with their dad. Well when I showed the CPS guy that one ok yeah our bedroom has a door but it is constantly stuck open and I mean stuck. We live in an old house and when I yanked on the door to show him how stuck it was there was a loud pop and I about fell over. I then showed him how it’s basically a piece of wood, no handle, and certainly no lock. (very rustic) From this point on every time he would read me an allegation and I would prove how there was no way possible for it to be true, or even remotely plausible he was consistently shaking his head. When he got done with the whole thing he asked if I had any input. I just shook my head. He then says that he doesn’t see any reason that he should have been here or that he should be back that we have nothing to worry about. He once again asked if I had any input and no one but him would know what I said. So I just simply snapped and told him, “She is jealous period. From the point the girls could talk they called me Mom first and that pissed her off. (we didn’t encourage it, it doesn’t matter to me one bit) She feels she has to attack because that is her only option. We have a stable home, environment, jobs, life, and she can’t keep or have any of that and it drives her mad.” That’s the short version.

So here is the run down. The girls will be 5 in September. In their short little lifetime she has lost 4 jobs. Most the time was unemployed rather than working. She has been evicted from 6 different places. She has been arrested for drunk driving and bouncing checks. She is now having mental breakdowns and calling at all hours in the evening and at night (after 12 am a couple of times) for Hubby to come get the girls because she can’t handle it.

The sad part is that even though the girls are four they are beyond gifted and intelligent. They are already disappointed by her and you can see it in their attitude, emotions, and actions. It’s frustrating because you don’t want to discipline them for retaliating/screaming out in frustration to finding that they were suppose to go here or there and once again she has let them down. We try our best to explain what we can and hope for the best.

She physically abuses them and it’s evident. Toughie has slipped a few times and called me Mom only to be smacked by QueenB and told “you don’t call her Mom she isn’t our Mom” Wow!! The conversations after these have been very enlightening. They are constantly covered in bruises, huge scrapes, black eyes, you name it they have had it short of a broken bone. (knock on wood) She has never viewed their safety as a concern. Had them in boosters before they were even two, during winter they are always wearing inappropriate clothes, and so on.

So not to make this go on forever I’m sure you see the pattern. Now I am all for both parents in a child’s life. I WANT her to be a part of their life. However right now I don’t think it’s a good thing for them. She is once again homeless, jobless, and constantly falling apart. Last night was another 12 am call from her and the girls. One why are they still up and two there has to be something wrong if they want to call daddy and are crying their eyes out. I want to fall over uncontrollably crying myself when we get them they are so filthy and bruised. Thing is I can’t!! I have to stay strong, I have to for them! It’s horrifying that they know the routine of coming to us. Every time it’s pictures snapped of clothes and marks, baths, and new clothes. We have to protect ourselves and collect all we can for when the miracle happens and the court finally opens their eyes.

IMG_0558Now our hopes aren’t up by no means, but prayers and fingers crossed that the mediator has finally seen. She has requested the hubby to come to mediation today. In her phone call she finally asked questions. She found out about some of the girls moms lies and her current situation. She wants to try and get their mom to temporarily let the girls come stay with us till she can get things back together. Hubby told her that their mom won’t go for it. When asked why, he told her “the truth is she will lose the money she is getting (child support) and she will not go for that.” Mediator told her well she will just have to see this isn’t good for them. Hubby even said “if she will do it I don’t want her money, or for her to have to pay, I just want to know they are safe, sleeping in a bed at night, being fed, bathed, and loved. I believe she does love them but as of now it’s very unclear how much.”

I have never nor will I ever not love these two as if they weren’t my own. They keep me going day after day and in that first minute coming back from her they immediately jump into my arms and squeeeze so hard while proclaiming “I missed you the MOST” there is NO WAY I will give that up. These are my girls just as much as theirs.

Thanks for listening/reading. Next week I promise will be back to fun things. Fingers crossed and tons of prayers today goes well.

Locating and Agreements.

I’ve started this few day journey through how I came to be a step mom of twin’s. Yesterday I told you about the Beginning of QueenB and Toughie. I ended basically where I came in the picture. I’m trying to do this in short sweet style. It frustrates me a bunch and I tend to not talk about it much. However I thought I’d share it wondering if other’s are going through the same situation. I hope you can follow along and get most of it. Bear with me through this because I have to get it out. Thanks in advance.

  • When the hubby and I met he didn’t like to be asked or having to talk about the girls he missed them that much.
  • Frustrated with not knowing where she was after much discussion we found a lawyer.
  • Girls are now 9 months old.
  • Paid for an investigator to find her.
  • Finally found her and she was served court summons.
  • Endless harassing private phone calls came at all hours of the day and night.
  • She shows up for court and when asked if she knew he was the father why she didn’t name him in the search. She couldn’t/wouldn’t answer.
  • Have to pay close to $1000 for paternity tests.
  • Finally results come back.
  • He tries through mediation to get some time with his girls. She denies everything.
  • She does invite him to their first birthday.
  • She agrees to visits in her home once a week for two months before hubby can take them to his house.
  • Hubby does what he has too.
  • They sign a temporary agreement.
  • Eventually girls start coming every weekend to our house.
  • Girls starting staying more and longer.
  • Soon after someone (and it wasn’t us) turned her into CPS. She retaliates by with holding the girls from Hubby.
  • Takes 4 months to get a court date.
  • She tells outrageous lies with no truth.
  • We provide evidence and witness’s.
  • She is informed she has no right to with hold the girls from their dad. She should be held in contempt of the order.
  • Court order is now three night weekends. She is IRATE now.
  • After some time it happens again where the girls are staying with us more and more.
  • During these two years she has been fired from two jobs and being evicted from her third place.
  • More people have turned her in and again she retaliates. Court does nothing to her.
  • She is constantly dragging us in to CPS for falsely accusing us, (mostly me) to court for things that should be just discussed with her and the hubby, and making us constantly run around like chickens.
  • The present agreement is now four night weekends for three weeks and two nights for the fourth. It has taken forever to get this far and now that they will attend school almost full time next year it is back up for review this summer.

So of course the wars have begun again with her. It is pure craziness. That will be Friday’s post. What we are currently or the games we have dealt with dealing with her and her greed for the money.

The beginning of QueenB & Toughie.

So I had mentioned before in a previous post a little snip it on what life was like for the girls when they are with their “mom”. Now I want to make something clear here on the point I really do believe children should have time with both parents. However to which point does their safety and well being become more important. We are constantly struggling with decisions as to what to do or say to their mom. The next couple days if not the rest of the week I’m going to really open up with our whole situation. Start with the past and eventually end up with the here and now. How I have no clue what tomorrow will bring for me for the hubby or the girls.

I’ll give you the background here in the shortest form I can to catch you up. Little snip-it timeline to fill you in.

  • Hubby and her were together, never married.
  • She already had a son. Plus was still married to a man in prison for CSC charges with a minor. UGH!!
  • Reason they got together she was being kicked out of her apartment (for not paying), she worked with the hubby, he offered to help her out by letting them stay for a small time with his family. One thing led to another. (seemed like a plan to me)
  • Eventually they had their own place she lost her job because she wouldn’t go to work. During this time Hubby worked, made sure her son made it to school, did all the house work. She did nothing. This caused TONS of fights with her and his parents. (I totally don’t blame them)
  • Next thing you know they are pregnant, and with twins.
  • 6 months along she disappears. Not just break it off its over, nope just leaves no words, phone disconnected everything.
  • Now by some fluke in the universe Hubby is on an ambulance call and see’s the girls “grandma” (moms mom) at the hospital. He casually asks what are you doing here? Oh the girls were born just a bit ago. WHAT?!? We tried to call you. (BULL$H!& his parents have caller id on home and cells)
  • So she takes him in there. He got to hold them. (beaming when he came and told us at work, I worked with him then)
  • Girls mom tells Hubby you can’t be on Birth Cert because we aren’t married. (BULL$H!& you will see her motives later)
  • Couple weeks later she calls him from blocked number for Money (of course). He takes her some money not taking a second thought at all. He gets to see the girls for a few minutes and offers to help, she don’t want it. She gets rid of him quick as she can.
  • Time goes by he can’t find her once again. Eventually begins to blow it all off.
  • Girls are now about 7 months old when he runs into a mutual friend of theirs. With chatting and catching up she hints to the question why Hubby wants nothing to do with the girls. He asks why she would say that. He has no way of contacting the girls mom and hasn’t seen them in 6 months. She reveals that the girls mom was trying to give them up for adoption but the court is searching for the father to get his sign off before she legally can. (later find out girls mom had given the court at least 20 names to test hence the fact she wanted no dad on the Birth Cert)
  • Now that Hubby and I have started dating we start talking about what he can do and what rights he has.

I’ll leave it here for today. Tomorrow I’ll fill ya in on “our beginning” of this crazy thing we call life. I mean this crazy dealing with their mother, lawyers, and the unbelievable cracked up damn family court legal system we have in this country. Especially for Dad’s. It’s been a rough journey and as of late has only been more interesting as well as frustrating.
